The measurement optics are recessed 10mm into the nose of the Vulcan LIBS Analyser which is protected by a window made of Sapphire glass that is nearly indestructible!

With the LIBS analyser, you are still required to wear your 3B laser safety glasses; this is included with any purchase of the Vulcan LIBS analyser.
