B24 Luer Vacuum Adapters

The Asynt B24 Luer vacuum adapters for useful for SPE, chromatography and filtration.
Using these neat little adapters, the chemist can process their reactions straight into a round bottomed flask thus removing the need for a Buchner funnel and decanting into a separate flask for evaporation, speeding up the process and avoiding spillages.
Also highly suited for simple chromatography and SPE using any Luer fitted cartridge or syringe barrel by applying a vacuum to the side arm, simple separations can be achieved where multiple fractions aren’t needed, a highly effective, simple solution, particularly suited to those chemists using ion exchange techniques.
The Asynt Luer adapter is also useful for transfer of liquids.

Borosilicate Electrochemical Cells

Borosilicate electrochemical cells are widely used in chemistry, materials and chemical engineering labs around the world for a variety of applications including catalysis studies, development of sensors, battery and fundamental inorganic chemistry research.
Borosilicate electrochemical cells can range in size and style, but we make these to reflect the specific needs of our customers; simple and complex, manufactured to a large range of volumes, with and without jackets, and any other variation you may require.
We can use glass frits to provide the salt bridge, flanges to hold membranes between cell halves and add quartz windows for photoelectrochemical (PEC) cells as well. We can also provide a variety of port options for electrodes, although we recommend threaded styles, such as GL14 equipped with caps, seals and septums for safe insertion of probes. Our expert scientific glassblowers can tailor everything to your individual specification.
Additionally, our cells can be made to host a variety of working electrodes, including our very own platinum flag electrodes.

Gas Bubblers

Need to keep your reaction under an inert atmosphere? Or maybe you have a Schlenk apparatus? Then these bubblers should prove a very useful tool.
Types 1 and 2 can be used with a reaction that needs an inerting blanket. A small amount of oil (silicone or mineral) is placed in the bubbler which allows a gentle flow of outgassing to be observed without any pressure issues to the apparatus.
Types 3 & 4 are for monitoring and isolating gas flow through apparatus, such as a Schlenk line.”

Schlenk Lines

Schlenk lines (also known as vacuum gas manifolds) are a commonly used piece of chemistry apparatus originally developed by Wilhelm Schlenk.
Schlenk lines basically consists of a dual manifold with several ports. One manifold is connected to a source of purified inert gas, while the other is connected to a high-vacuum pump. The inert gas line is vented through an oil bubbler, while solvent vapours and gaseous reaction products are prevented from contaminating the vacuum pump through a liquid nitrogen or dry ice/acetone cold trap. Special stopcocks or Teflon taps allow for vacuum or inert gas to be selected without the need for placing the sample on a separate line.
Schlenk lines are useful for safely and successfully manipulating air sensitive compounds. The high vacuum is also often used to remove the last traces of solvent from a sample. Vacuum gas manifolds often have many ports and lines, and with care it is possible for several reactions or operations to be run simultaneously.
We offer a range of standardised configurations however all our Schlenk lines are bespoke and manufactured precisely to suit your chemistry by our experienced expert scientific glass blowers. Talk to our chemists today to discuss your requirements.

Scientific Glassware Repairs

We have all been in a situation where our most useful piece of laboratory glassware becomes unusable due to damage.
This might not mean it needs to go in the recycling bin though as often our highly experienced glass blowers can repair even complicated breaks.
We offer a no-obligation quotation service so send us a photo of the damaged item and we’ll do what we can to help.
It may also be useful to make changes to existing glassware. We can update reactor vessels, change port sizes and more so contact us with your requirements.

Vacuum Filtration Funnels

New from Asynt!
Use these Asynt vacuum filtration funnels for simple separations directly into your round bottom flask.
Provided with GL14 to olive adapter for connection to vacuum.

Laboratory Reaction Vessels

With a wealth of experience in scientific glassware and engineering, we can offer a huge range of ReactoMate laboratory reactions vessels. Whether you need mobility tanks, jacketed vessels or vacuum jacketed vessels we can work together to provide you with the perfect system to suit your chemistry.
In addition, as all vessels are manufactured specifically for you here in the UK, we can customise your chosen vessel to include a wide variety of accessories such as PTFE or stainless steel agitation, standard or magnetic couplings, a range of taps and valves, and baffles to name just a few. Baffles can be built in to the reaction vessel itself or can be provided as part of a PTFE structure that can be added/removed as needed.
We also offer ReactoMate reaction vessels with an amber coating for those carrying out photochemistry, and stainless steel vessels for those requiring them.
